The Columbia Empire Volleyball Association (CEVA) has partnered with Officially Human, it was announced today by Cody March, Executive Director of CEVA, and Brenda Hilton, Founder & CEO of Officially Human.
“I’m excited to partner with The Columbia Empire Volleyball Association and look forward to achieving our common goals. Volleyball is a fast-paced, entertaining sport that is fun to watch’, said Brenda Hilton. “Officially Human is the right organization to help preserve the positive game experiences in a growing sport enjoyed by so many and build stronger relationships with our sports officials and help grow the recruitment of these brave individuals.”
Officially Human CEO Hilton also currently works for a Division I collegiate athletic conference. She spent 11 years with the Summit League (formerly the Mid-Continent conference) and overall 22+ years working in major collegiate officiating.

Our organization feels it’s important to invest in the culture we’re trying to build in CEVA, and this is an important step”, said Cody March. “We also feel that providing more education to our members, and support to our officials, will lead to meaningful and positive relationships throughout our community that will allow us to experience continued growth. We appreciate the work Officially Human is doing and look forward to supporting it in our region.”
With this partnership, all CEVA clubs and members have access to Officially Human’s ELEVATE RESPECT® online course. CEVA will also use this course as an educational tool when handling instances of referee mistreatment and abuse during sanctioned games.
