IMPACT Classes

IMPACT Certification

All coaches registered with USA Volleyball are required to be IMPACT & SafeSport certified. Below are notes and information regarding this certification process.

Changes For 2017-2018 Season

SafeSport will no longer be included as part of an IMPACT training class.  SafeSport will be a stand-alone training available to members on USAV Academy.

Bullying Stops Here

Excel NW coach Lisa Van Sickle - 10+ years of CEVA service


We will celebrate CEVA coaches with 10+ years of CEVA service at our Annual Club Directors Meeting on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Here is Excel NW coach Lisa Van Sickle's story.

I started coaching as an Assistant Coach for the college I played for after returning from playing in Argentina. I only coached for a few years, as I was not ready to give up playing yet and then found beach volleyball. I finally returned to the coaching scene when my daughter Brooke was ready to begin her volleyball journey.

CEVA Junior Coaches Academy November 15

CEVA will offer a Junior Coaches Academy on Sunday, November 15 at Southridge High School in Beaverton, OR. Coaching club volleyball can be really fun, but intense your first year.
