IMPACT/SafeSport Certification

All coaches registered with USA Volleyball are required to be IMPACT & SafeSport certified. Below are notes and information regarding this certification process.

Changes For 2017-2018 Season

SafeSport will no longer be included as part of an IMPACT training class.  SafeSport will be a stand-alone training available to members on USAV Academy.

Dates of In-Person IMPACT Clinics in 2017

To be announced.

Option 1 to get certified:  Attend a CEVA-Hosted IMPACT Class - Free

CEVA will host several IMPACT/SafeSport classes in various locations in November & December, 2017. There is no charge for certification. Once dates are announced, you can login to Webpoint and go to the "USA Volleyball Events" menu on the left hand side of the page. Go to "Region Clinics" then "Region Coaching Clinics." Register for the class you wish to attend. The classes are free, but your club will be charged $25 if you fail to show up for the class. Certification is immediate after completion of the course.

Option 2 to get certified:  USA Volleyball IMPACT On-Demand Course - $40

USA Volleyball offers an On Demand IMPACT/SafeSport course that can be taken any time via their website. Users can start, stop and save. Course must be completed in 21 days. This is done exclusively through USA Volleyball. Current cost is $40 (and is subject to change). Once completed, certification will appear on your Webpoint profile and will be active. Register here for a USA Volleyball IMPACT/SafeSport On Demand Course.

Option 3 to get certified:  IMPACT Equivalency

In some cases, coaches who've taken ASEP or NFHS courses are eligibile to have those completed courses applied toward an IMPACT certification for USA Volleyball.  This process is handed entirely by the USAV Coaching Education Department.  In order to see if your coursework qualifies, please e-mail cap@usav.org and include your name, USAV membership number, and proof of completion of the courses you wish to have applied to your IMPACT certification. Do not send this information to the CEVA office.  For more information on this process, click here
