CEVA Friendship Tournament

CEVA Friendship Tournament - Dec. 14 & 15, 2019

This tournament is a great warm-up for teams getting ready for the upcoming season. Players can get used to tournament play, have fun and build chemistry with teammates. Tournament entry is $65 for the 12s and 14s, and will be $85 for the 16s and 18s.  Please be sure you read the information on this page before registering.

Format & Schedule

Saturday, December 14th - 12s & 14s Divisions

12s and 14s divisions will play a half-day tournament.  The 12s will all be in the 8:00 AM wave, and the 14s will be split between the 8:00 AM wave and the 2:00 PM wave.  14s Teams will select which wave they wish to participate in during registration.  Teams will be placed into pools and will be guaranteed 6 sets of play.  4-team pools will play 2 sets to 25 points, and 3-team pools will play 3 sets to 25.  

Sunday, December 15th - 16s & 18s Divisions

16s and 18s divisions will play a full-day tournament.  Each team will play in a pool in the morning, 6 sets guaranteed.  In the afternoon, each team will play 2 crossover matches against teams from the adjacent court (based on finish in pool play).  All matches will be 2 sets to 25 points (win by 2, no cap).  Morning pool play starts at 8:00 AM, and crossovers will start at 2:00 PM.  Last matches would be scheduled at approximately 4:30 PM.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

We anticipate registration opening on Monday, November 18, 2019, at 9:00 AM.  Registration will be done via AES.
> Teams who cancel their registration between the time registration opens and 5:00 PM on Friday, November 30th will receive a full refund.
> Teams who cancel their registration after 5:00 PM on Friday, November 30 will receive NO REFUND, and will be fined $50.00.

Roster Info and Requirements:

All teams must be represented at the coaches meeting.
Teams must have printed Webpoint roster.
Any non-rostered players and coaches must bring valid CEVA/USAV Membership Card.
Ref/Scorer Certification - three (3) players certified as Junior Scorers and one adult, who is present, certified as a Referee. 12's teams must have a scorer-certified rostered adult to work the score table with players (this can be a chaperone or another coach).
Uniforms - Numbers required, colors don't need to match exactly but should be similar. Libero should be in contrasting color.

Remember the CEVA/USA Volleyball Spectator Code of Conduct.  This is ONLY a friendship tournament.  Results do not count toward any sort of seeding for future Power Leagues, etc.
