Alix Montoya joined CEVA in March of 2017. She has been promoted three times in her CEVA career, most recently to Senior Director – Region Services in July 2024.
2023-2024 Season
Alix once again helped the region to record-setting team and membership numbers. The region surpassed 11,000 members for the first time, ran the largest Power League in region history, and hosted the largest Regional Championships.
2022-2023 Season
Alix was a key component in supporting then-record numbers of members and teams in the region, with CEVA reaching nearly 10,000 participants. She also was the office’s liaison for memberships and participation with the state’s high school boys’ league.
2019-2022 Seasons
She was instrumental in helping CEVA set a new record for total membership in the 2019-2020 season, as well as new highs for total numbers of teams and clubs in the region. In the 2020-2021 season, she was a critical component in helping CEVA run a full Power League and Regional Championships despite challenges from the pandemic. After the pandemic, she helped lead a strong return of clubs and members in the 2022 season.
She handles all club activation logistics and membership administration. She has direct oversight of the organization’s external communications, membership logistics, CEVA tournament directors, and the Officials’ Division. She also led the partnership with Community Warehouse in December of 2019, which brought in numerous household goods from the CEVA Community to donate to those in need around the holidays.
In December of 2020, Alix was named to a national task force focusing on future enhancements to the SportsEngine MMS. In 2024, she was invited to participate on a steering committee to help launch USAV’s “Try Volleyball” initiative.
Alix joined CEVA after over nine years of CEVA play, four years of Division I play and eight years of coaching. Before CEVA, Alix worked for ACX Pacific Northwest, focusing on event planning and data analysis.
In 2009, Alix graduated from the University of San Francisco where she got her degree in Communications and played 4 years of volleyball. She was named first team all-conference her senior year.
Alix went on to coach the JV team at Lakeridge High School for eight years and helped assist the Lakeridge Varsity team to a 6A State Championship in 2013.
Alix is married to Aquiles Montoya, the head volleyball coach at Cal State University Northridge. They have two children – Leighton and Aquiles IV.
CALLIE WILKINS
MANAGER – REGION OPERATIONS

Callie was named CEVA’s Manager of Region Operations July 1, 2024.
In the 2023-2024 season, Callie was hired as the Operations Intern. She managed paperwork, results and awards for all tournaments and helped CEVA team leaders in another successful Regional Championship which oversaw 450 teams.
Callie oversees the adult, outdoor, and High School Boys leagues as well as helping in CEVA office operations involving extended communication, social media, results and prizes of tournaments.
Callie grew up in Happy Valley, OR and attended Concordia and Bushnell University where she earned her degree in Business Administration and played five years of Volleyball. She was named First Team All-Conference her sophomore, junior and senior year. In 2021 she was awarded the Cascade Collegiate Conference Defender of the Year and Northwest Region Defender of the Year.
“Volleyball has always been a huge part of my life. I competed in the CEVA Region for 10 years. Playing competitive volleyball in the CEVA organization provided me with life skills and lessons in how to lead a prosperous life. ”
In her free time she enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, working out, and playing with her two Black Lab dogs.
ANDREW BOREL
EQUIPMENT MANAGER

Andrew Borel was named CEVA’s Equipment Manager on July 1, 2023. He is the first person to hold the position.
Andrew oversees all facets of CEVA’s court equipment, including rentals, load/unload logistics, and contract solicitation & execution. He also leads setup & teardown logistics of CEVA’s large-scale events at the Portland Expo Center. In the 2024 season, he led the setup and teardown efforts for the largest Regional Championship event in the region’s history.
Andrew worked on CEVA’s setup crew and tournament staff during the 2023 CEVA Regional Championships, which saw participation by over 400 teams.
He grew up in Southern California and graduated from UCSB with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He’s traveled extensively and came to Portland in 2010, where he’s enjoyed several stints coaching youth volleyball.
He’s also volunteered with several non-profits in his career and has a deep interest in developing youth.
In his free time, he travels with his partner, Kara, or he can be found in a local arcade, singing karaoke, or around a volleyball court. He resides in Portland.
CODY MARCH

Cody March joined CEVA in August of 2015 as the organization’s Director of Operations and was named the Executive Director effective July 1, 2019.
2023-2024 Season
In his fifth full season as CEVA’s leader, the region saw a record number of members (over 11,000), the largest Power League in history (528 teams), and the largest Regional Championship event CEVA has ever run (452 teams). The region was responsible for donating over $14,000 of equipment to schools and community programs and providing more than $55,000 of scholarship funds to athletes in need. He spearheaded five free sitting volleyball clinics for para-athletes in the community and helped the region to a record fundraising effort during the year. He also instituted the first internal professional development program for CEVA’s employees.
2022-2023 Season
The region once again saw record numbers of members and teams participating – with nearly 10,000 members joining CEVA and 468 teams participating in the junior girls’ Power League. He also helped support the first state-wide high school boys’ volleyball league in the Spring.
2019-2022 Seasons
His third season as the ED at CEVA saw the region return to near-record highs in memberships and teams, a strong increase in boys’ volleyball participation, and the forging of several new partnerships. In his second season, despite a pandemic, he led CEVA’s efforts to conduct a full Power League season, which culminated with a Regional Championship event at the Portland Expo Center. His first season at the helm of CEVA saw the organization set records for overall membership totals, as well as number of teams, despite the season being cancelled in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He is active in the USA Volleyball community, serving on numerous committees and task forces within the USAV Regional Volleyball Association Assembly (RVAA). Among them, he is the current Chair of the USAV Administrative Council (AC) Safesport Committee and a member of the RVAA Marketing & Branding Committee. He is also a member of the Sport Oregon Board of Directors and the Expo Futures Sports & Facilities Committee. He is a previous member of the RVAA Covid-19 Task Force, RVAA SportsEngine MMS Work Group, RVAA Insurance Committee, and RVAA Diversity & Inclusion Ad-Hoc Committee.
He moved to Beaverton after a 12-year stint at Oregon State University, including 8 years with the Beaver Volleyball program. He served as a manager, Assistant Director of Operations, and for the final 6 years of his tenure, the team’s Director of Operations. He was responsible for planning and executing all team travel, equipment inventory and ordering, home game management, statistics and video coordination, as well as various other tasks assigned by the coaching staff. He was the director of the Willamette Volleyball Classic, a club tournament that brought nearly 200 teams to OSU’s campus each year on Mother’s Day Weekend.
At Oregon State, he also served as a liaison for CEVA during their Regional Championships, which were previously held at OSU. He worked for CEVA in various roles at the Regional Championships once they moved to Portland, as well as CEVA’s Presidents Day Tournament in Springfield.
Prior to volleyball, Cody spent 4 years working for the OSU Men’s Basketball team as a manager. During his final two years, he was elevated to Head Manager and Film Coordinator for the program.
He graduated in 2007 from Oregon State University with a degree in Applied Exercise & Sports Science, with a Business Administration minor. He earned his master’s degree in Sport & Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University in 2015. He completed a Certificate of Nonprofit Leadership & Management through the Society of Nonprofits in 2023. He is originally from Monroe, OR.
