What is the CEVA All-Star Program?
The USA Volleyball All Star Championship is an annual event (typically held in mid-to-late July) that brings all-star teams from the 40 USAV regions and international federations together for competition. The tournament typically consists of approximately 100 regional & international teams and routinely draws over 100 collegiate coaches, either in a coaching or recruiting role.
CEVA’s Vision
CEVA’s vision for this program is multi-faceted:
- Create a collegiate-like experience where players are exposed to high-level coaches and an atmosphere similar to that of a college volleyball program.
- Create a program that allows athletes to compete for their home region instead of having to travel to a neighboring region, thereby reducing financial commitments, traveling, and stress.
- Create a program that is organized, well-run, and highly structured.
- Build the program to expand to other age groups in the future.
2027 Tournament Dates & Locations
- Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Competition Dates: July 21-24, 2027
- CEVA Delegation Travel Dates: July 20-25, 2027
2027 Tryouts
CEVA will communicate with club coaches and will invite players to tryouts based on evaluations by coaches, regional staff, and our all-star delegation. There will not be a public tryout application process. Clubs will make recommendations to the region for players to invite to tryouts. The region is not obligated to accept those recommendations. Invitations for tryouts will begin to be distributed in early 2027.
2027 Age Groups
- U13 – Players must be born in 2015 or later to be eligible to compete.
- U15 – Players must be born in 2013, 2014, or later to be eligible to compete.
- U17 – Players must be born in 2011, 2012, or later to be eligible to compete.
Note – this tournament is played under FIVB rules and age definitions. FIVB age definitions look only at the year of an athlete’s birth.
