ABOUT THE PROGRAM

CEVA seeks to partner with schools, community-based organizations, and other youth-centric organizations to get new and lightly-used volleyball equipment into the hands of kids free of charge.  

Preferred Partners & Selection Criteria

  • This program will target the following (in no particular order):  Elementary, middle, and high schools in the CEVA region, particularly Title I schools;  Non-profit youth-centric organizations in CEVA’s footprint;  Community organizations that serve youth, such as after-school programs, camps, etc, in CEVA’s footprint;  Small, rural, or non-profit CEVA clubs.
  • Grants are not guaranteed and are based on availability, inventory, and other factors. 

Available Equipment Options

  • Baden SoftLight Youth Volleyballs – designed especially for young volleyball players just learning the game.  (Allotment of 12 balls – limit one allotment per application)  
  • Baden Light Microfiber Volleyballs – designed for 12s or younger indoor play and developing volleyball players.  (Allotment of 6 balls.)
  • Baden Perfection Leather Volleyballs – designed for indoor play with players 13 and older.  (Allotment of 6 balls – limit one allotment per application)  
  • Sports Imports poles, pads, nets, and referee stands in very limited circumstances.  

Application

  • Available on this page.
  • Available until all equipment is distributed, or until the deadline.
  • All applications will be vetted by staff and may require follow-up questions or interviews with the applicant.
  • Will ask for the number of youth served by your program and their demographics (e.g., how many identify as minorities).
  • Will ask for proof of non-profit status (e.g., IRS Letter of Determination).  Non-profits receive priority consideration over for-profit organizations.

Timeline

  • Application will be available beginning May 15, 2025. 
  • Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis. 
  • Application will close on August 15, 2025.
