Notice: Special Election to fill Geographic Representative position on CEVA Board of Directors
BEAVERTON, OR (6/9/2026) – The CEVA Board of Directors has authorized a Special Election to fill a member-elected vacancy on the Board, per Article III, Section 9.A.2.a of the CEVA Bylaws.
The Special Election will fill the Geographic Representative role on the Board. This position serves a 3-year term beginning on or around July 1, 2026.
Interested individuals may complete a Self-Nomination Form, which will be vetted by the CEVA Board Development Committee. All self-nominations must be submitted by 3:00 PM on June 23, 2026.
The Geographic Representative on the CEVA Board of Directors is tasked with giving voice and representation to clubs, teams, and members in underserved and nontraditional areas of our region, such as Central Oregon, Eastern Oregon, the Oregon Coast, Southern Oregon, and the northernmost part of the region in Washington. They should be focused on helping provide opportunities for participation and serving as a conduit for those areas to have adequate voice in CEVA’s decision-making process. While it is not required that the candidate physically resides in one of those areas, the candidate should have working knowledge and experience with those areas and the stakeholders in them.
All full adult members of the region will be eligible to vote in the Special Election. Voting will be open for 7 days, starting June 24. All voting is done electronically, and eligible members will be sent a ballot via e-mail. Eligible members may submit one vote in the Special Election. Duplicate votes from the same member are disqualified.
