Four Years Strong: CEVA and Anna Hennings Deepen Mental Performance Commitment

BEAVERTON, OR (9/23/2025) – The Columbia Empire Volleyball Association (CEVA) announces the continuation of its partnership with Anna Hennings, entering the fourth year of collaboration that began in 2022.

Anna Hennings, M.A. Sport Psychology, is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) based in Portland who specializes in mental performance coaching for volleyball players. She serves teenage, collegiate, and adult clients virtually and in-person throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationally.

CEVA partners with organizations that align with our values and enhance member experiences. Anna demonstrates ongoing dedication to our community with her specialized focus on youth volleyball development.

This past year, Anna expanded her local impact. She facilitated a leadership training at Adidas and presented at a girls in sport educational event sponsored by Sport Oregon’s SheFlies initiative. At the latter, Anna joined an impressive lineup of speakers including Clare Hamill, President of Portland’s new WNBA team the Portland Fire, three-time soccer gold medalist and National Soccer Hall of Famer Shannon Boxx, and fellow CEVA partner, Greta Jarvis of the Center for Active Women.

Anna’s coaching style combines authentic conversations with evidence-based tools and creates a safe space for athletes to explore identity, build confidence, and become more consistent, focused players. 

Through mental training, athletes develop the mindset skills to manage overthinking, clear performance blocks, process setbacks, handle perfectionism, quiet self-criticism, restore motivation, thrive under pressure, improve communication, rebuild confidence, and balance academic-athletic demands.
