Girls 8th, Boys 7th at USAV All-Star Champs
MADISON, WI (7/28/2025) – The CEVA Girls U15 All-Stars finished 8th out of 17 teams in the 15 National Division, and the CEVA Boys U15 All-Stars finished 7th out of 8 teams at the 2025 USAV All-Star Championships held in Madison, Wisconsin.
The girls’ team finished with a 5-3 overall record, notching their first win in program history on Thursday with a 3-1 win over the Evergreen Region. They finished with a 4-2 pool play record, with wins over Evergreen, North Country, Northern California, and Oklahoma. They beat Great Plains on Sunday in their first match in the Silver bracket, before falling to Evergreen in the Silver bracket championship.
The boys’ team chalked up their first win in program history by beating the Ohio Valley region 3-2 on Saturday. The young and undersized team competed well throughout the weekend against older teams.
This year marked the first time CEVA has fielded a delegation for this event. The players were provided with a collegiate-like experience, where they traveled together, stayed together, had meals together, and took part in team outings together. The region made all arrangements for travel and meals.
CEVA also had five officials participating in this year’s event.
CEVA will continue this program next summer, following a successful first year. More information will be shared with the region later in 2025. The 2026 USAV All-Star Championships will take place July 23-26 in Columbus, OH.
The 2025-2026 season begins in CEVA with club activation beginning August 5. Boys’ tryouts & signing may begin October 4. Girls’ tryout & signing dates are November 9 (14 & under) and November 16 (15 & older).
