CEVA Announces 2026-2027 Girls Tryout Dates
BEAVERTON, OR (1/20/2026) – The Columbia Empire Volleyball Association has announced tryout dates for junior girls’ teams in the 2026-2027 season. These dates are voted on by the Junior Girls’ Committee and will largely keep to standing precedent.
Tryout dates for the 2026-2027 season are as follows:
- Athletes defined as 14 & younger may begin tryouts on Sunday, November 8, 2026.
- Athletes defined as 15 & older may begin tryouts on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
Age definitions are published by USAV at the start of each new club season. Definitions for the 2026-2027 season will be published in late Spring or early Summer. Athletes move up one age each year – for example, an athlete defined as a 14s player in the 2025-2026 (current) club season would be defined as a 15s player in the 2026-2027 season.
Important notes about tryouts:
- Clubs are not required to run an in-person tryout, nor are clubs required to run an “open” tryout.
- Athletes may not sign a CEVA Letter of Commitment until their tryout start date.
- Athletes may sign a CEVA Letter of Commitment without attending a tryout.
