CEVA Girls Summer Tryout Policy Update

Our region has completed its evaluation of summer tryouts for our junior girls’ clubs. Throughout this process, we received valuable feedback from club directors and administrators, coaches, families, and many other stakeholders. We sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to share their perspectives and help inform our review.

On Wednesday, the Junior Girls Committee voted to maintain our current tryout policy and not move forward with the implementation of summer tryouts.

As a result, the region’s tryout policy and timelines will remain unchanged moving forward.  Girls’ tryout dates for the 2026 season were previously set for November 8 (14 & Under) and November 15 (15 & Older), and those remain unchanged.  Tryout dates for the 2027 season will likely be held on a similar timeline. 

This review does not consider Junior Boys’ tryout/signing dates, which are independently evaluated each year by the Junior Boys’ Committee.

The Junior Girls’ Committee was deliberate and thoughtful in their evaluation, and they went to great lengths to hear varying perspectives from throughout the region.  Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback and continued commitment to our junior volleyball community.
