CEVA Welcomes Three New Board Members
BEAVERTON, OR (7/6/2026) – The Columbia Empire Volleyball Association (CEVA), the USA Volleyball region serving Oregon and Southwest Washington, is pleased to announce the election of Helen Daniels, Noah Lambie, and Ben Stern to its Board of Directors. Each began their three-year terms on July 1, 2026.
Each of these new board members brings valuable experience, leadership, and a passion for growing the sport of volleyball. Their diverse backgrounds will strengthen CEVA’s governance and help advance its mission of providing positive volleyball experiences for athletes, clubs, coaches, officials, and families throughout the region.
Helen Daniels of Portland begins her first term on the CEVA Board as the Adult Representative. A former member of CEVA’s Adult Committee and an active adult volleyball player, Daniels works as an independent contractor. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, she will chair the CEVA Adult Committee, helping guide programs and opportunities for the region’s adult volleyball community.
Noah Lambie, of Depoe Bay, will serve as CEVA’s Geographic Representative. Lambie works as both a teacher and an architectural draftsman and is the Club Director for Oregon Coast Juniors. He has been an active volunteer with CEVA, serving as a facility host for regional tournaments at Taft High School in Lincoln City. His experience serving volleyball communities along the Oregon Coast will provide valuable perspective to the Board.
Ben Stern begins his first term as CEVA’s Junior Boys’ Representative and will also serve as Chair of the Junior Boys Committee. A longtime boys’ volleyball coach with AJAXVB, Stern recently expanded his coaching experience by taking on a girls’ team within the club. His leadership and dedication to growing boys’ volleyball will help support one of CEVA’s fastest-growing areas of the sport.
“We’re excited to welcome Helen, Noah, and Ben to the CEVA Board of Directors,” said Cody March, Executive Director of CEVA. “Each of them has already demonstrated a commitment to serving the volleyball community, and we’re fortunate to have their experience and passion helping lead our region. As volleyball continues to grow across Oregon and Southwest Washington, their perspectives and leadership will help us better serve our members and continue creating positive opportunities for athletes, clubs, coaches, officials, and families.”
The region also thanks Tia Peterson, Jay Kudlicka, and CJ Roberts for their service to the board and their respective committees.
The newly elected directors join the Board at a time of continued growth for volleyball throughout the Columbia Empire Region. Working alongside fellow board members, staff, and volunteers, they will help guide the organization’s strategic direction while ensuring CEVA continues to provide outstanding programs, competitions, education, and member services.
