CEVA INSIDER

A season of momentum. A community of opportunity.

Tryout season is almost here, boys’ volleyball is growing, and new officials are stepping forward. Across CEVA, there’s plenty to be excited about—and your support is helping make it happen.

To our members, donors, and sponsors: thank you for investing in our volleyball community.

Our clubs

Ready for tryout season

Girls’ tryouts begin November 8 for ages 14 and under, followed by November 15 for ages 15 and older. Our office is busy helping members and clubs prepare for an exciting time of year.

We currently have 106 active clubs, with another 5–10 likely to come on board. We’re especially excited about the 14 new clubs that have expressed interest in joining CEVA this season—many are already active and ready to go!

Supporting our officials

30+ prospective officials—and counting

More than 30 individuals have expressed interest in becoming new CEVA officials this year! We’re incredibly fortunate to see this enthusiasm, and it speaks to the strength of our officials’ division leadership.

Our office is working alongside the Officials’ Committee to coordinate training, onboarding, and mentorship for our officials’ cadre. We’re excited to help this next group learn, grow, and find their place in the game.

On the court

Boys’ volleyball starts strong

Eleven teams took the court at our first boys’ tournament of the season on Saturday, October 24. Boys’ full memberships are already up more than 10% compared with last year.

AJAXVB 18 Gold went undefeated to lead the field at the CEVA Boys Kickoff Tournament. Congratulations on a terrific start!

ACCESS TO THE GAME

Help an athlete stay in the game

Applications are open for the CEVA Athlete Success Fund, which helps families with demonstrated financial need offset their club dues.

We’re deeply grateful to the donors and corporate partners who support this fund. 100% of donations go directly into the fund, helping make club volleyball more accessible to families in our region.

Around USA Volleyball

Big stages. New opportunities.

The world is coming to North America. The United States and Canada will host the 2027 Women’s Volleyball World Cup, and the U.S. Women’s first-round opponents are set: Thailand, Mexico, and Greece.

Celebrating our sport

Honoring volleyball’s legends

It’s always special to be in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to celebrate a new induction class at the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. This year’s star-studded class made for another memorable—and emotional—evening honoring the people who have shaped our sport.
